Micah Tamthai is Chief Operating Officer, Minor Lifestyle for Minor International (MINT), one of the largest hospitality and leisure companies in the Asia Pacific region with over 520 hotels and resorts, 2,410 restaurants and 339 retail trading points of sale in Thailand and in 63 markets across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and the Americas.

Micah is responsible for leading and managing MINT’s retail businesses, and for developing its real estate portfolio, including luxury branded residences, office buildings, shopping plazas and family entertainment attractions in Thailand and overseas.

Micah joined MINT in 2009 as Finance Director. He received his first promotion in 2012, as Group Director of Investment and tasked with spearheading the development of the company’s five-year plans, expanding MINT’s hotel portfolio through investments, acquisitions and joint venture opportunities, and managing MINT’s third party-operated hotel and joint venture assets. In 2015 Micah was promoted to Vice President of Real Estate, a role he held until May 2021.

Prior to joining MINT, Micah spent a decade in the airline industry, working on restructuring and merger of carriers including US Airways (now American Airlines), Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines.

Micah holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College, USA and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, USA.
