Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has a career which spans public service, the private sector, and academia. Prior to taking his current office, Chadchart served as CEO and Managing Director of Quality Houses Public Company Limited (Q-House). Previously, he has served as Minister of Transportation from 2012 to 2014, where he initiated critical infrastructure projects such as high-speed trend infrastructure at the Central Bang Sue station and extended dark red-line electric trains to support commuters. He began his career as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Chadchart holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with first-class honors from Chulalongkorn University, a Master of Structural Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a doctorate in Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
